Movement Is Medicine

The word medicine traces back to the Latin medicina, meaning the healing art or a remedy. It comes from the verb medeorto heal, to care for, to restore.

For centuries, medicine has referred not only to physical healing but also to the practices that restore balance to the whole person.

The root med is associated with taking wise measures, caring, and healing. It reminds us that healing begins with awareness. Our thoughts shape our perceptions, our perceptions influence our actions, and our actions create the lives we live.

The ancient Hermetic teaching, often attributed to Thoth, begins with a simple principle:

"All is Mind."

What we consistently hold in our minds influences how we experience the world around us. When we cultivate thoughts that nourish, encourage, and empower us, we create fertile ground for healing to unfold.
