Member comes from the Latin membrum, meaning a limb, a part of a body.

So a member is not separate.
A member is a living part of a whole.

To re-member is to bring the members back together.
To restore the body.
To make the whole conscious of itself again.

And this is why the word member is so sacred in this space.

A CHAKTI member isn’t someone who joined something.

You are a membrum.
A vital, living part of the body of practice, presence, comm-unity and remembrance.

So when we say remember in this practice, we are saying:
Come back into the body.
Come back into belonging.
Come back into wholeness.

You are not just a member.
You are part of whole movement that remembers.
